Terms of Sales
1. Title and description of the program
They are those indicated on the technical sheet, to be downloaded from the internet www.bikehorizon.com or that Bikehorizon will have sent to you, by email or post.
2. Registration and reservation
All registrations must be made using the registration form downloadable from the site, to be returned to Bikehorizon, accompanied by a 30% deposit, the balance being payable 21 days at the latest before departure without reminder from Bikehorizon. In case of registration less than 30 days before departure, the full price of the program is to be paid. Any registration implies acceptance of the general conditions of sale of Bikehorizon. For all its programs, Bikehorizon reserves the right not to accept a registration if the person does not meet the level criteria. The reservation will only be effective upon receipt of the completed, signed registration form and accompanied by the appropriate payment.
3. Prices and terms of payment
The price is that indicated on the technical sheet of the program chosen at the time of registration. The services included in the price are detailed in the technical sheet of the program chosen. Payment is made either by check, holiday vouchers payable to Bikehorizon or by bank transfer to the Bikehorizon account, or by credit card on the website.
4. Cancellation conditions
At the initiative of Bikehorizon: the program may be canceled if the minimum number of people is not registered 21 days before departure. By definition, outdoor activities are subject to weather and terrain conditions, beyond the control of Bikehorizon. Therefore the program can be modified for your safety, even completely cancelled. In the event that Bikehorizon is forced to cancel the proposed program, Bikehorizon will endeavor to offer you an equivalent program that you are free to accept or not. If you then decide to cancel your registration, you will be fully refunded. Bikehorizon cannot be held responsible for these modifications.
On your initiative: more than 30 days before the start of the program, you are reimbursed in full. Between 30 and 21 days: Bikehorizon retains 30% of the price, i.e. the deposit. Between 21 days and the date of departure: Bikehorizon retains 100% of the price.
Group: same, applicable according to the number of places canceled. In the event that you decide to leave the current program, no financial compensation may be requested.
5. Material
If you decide to participate with your own equipment, you must come with a good quality mountain bike adapted to the chosen program (as indicated in "practical information"), well maintained and revised. Under no circumstances can the program be subject to a mechanical maintenance session for your equipment. Of course you bring a helmet approved according to European standards and a backpack whose volume is adapted to the activities. You will use your own maintenance and repair kit. Do not forget the products and spare parts necessary for the proper functioning of your equipment.
6. Health – safety
Bikehorizon draws your attention to the fact that registration for the program, given its sporting nature, assumes good general physical condition, without medical contraindication. As a precaution if you have a particular pathology, Bikehorizon asks you to inform the guide who oversees the program. By definition, outdoor activities are so-called risky activities because they are carried out in isolated places, with specific equipment, sometimes in rough terrain, requiring prior learning. Their smooth running is therefore subject to strict compliance with the instructions given by the guide who oversees the program.
7. Underage Participant
Any registration of a minor in a program requires the prior agreement of Bikehorizon. The registration of a minor participant implies that his legal guardian accepts the general conditions of sale and that he authorizes Bikehorizon to act independently and responsibly in the event of an accident and the need for hospitalization. Of course, in the event of an accident or illness, the manager will be notified immediately. On site, you complete the authorization for minor care and must provide us with an identity document and the health record of the minor participant. We will keep them for the duration of the program. Do not forget to give us the phone number where we can reach you during the program.
8. Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out individual insurance covering your civil liability, accident risks, repatriation assistance and search and rescue costs. The declaration formalities must be carried out by you.
9. Exclusivity of courses
Bikehorizon routes may not be distributed outside the framework of its activities. A customer who has participated in Bikehorizon activities will not be able to communicate the itinerary, full or partial, even for free. GPS tracks, mapping software, topos of all kinds, other… the dissemination of information is prohibited. Any distribution without prior acceptance by BikeHorizon will be systematically prosecuted.
10. Dispute Conditions
Complaints will only be accepted by Bikehorizon provided they are made by registered letter within a maximum of 10 days after the end of the program or activity. Subject to the quality of the defendant, any dispute is the exclusive responsibility of the Commercial Court of Grenoble.
